Videator Documents
A Videator document consists of a video, an effects chain, and any other images required by the effects used in the effects chain.

Videator documents are file packages; they include images plus text (XML) files describing the effects/filters/paint and the overall document.

You can choose whether or not to store the video file within the Videator document in
Preferences. If you edit the video, the edited version will always be stored in the Videator document. Videator will not modify your original video file.
To create a new document:

Choose New (Command-N) from the File menu. New Videator documents always start with an opening image. If you have a camera attached and the camera is not in use by another application or another Videator document, the new document will switch to live video from the camera. If you have no camera or the camera is already in use, you’ll be able to choose a demo movie included with Videator or keep the default image.

To create a new document with a particular video file:

Choose Open (Command-O) from the File menu and choose the video in the Open File dialog.

Or, drag a video file onto the Videator dock icon.
